Yes Mr John...it is wonderful to see all three getting fed...Liberty and Justice are great parents..

Mavis

JC...you are doing so good with the last link! I like it!!

Mavis

Awwwh...I hate to see that sweet little bird on the nest. A pond full of fish are already up there! That bird woke up this morning thinking, "Oh, what a beautiful day"!

RL ML

One peeking out from under Mom when I came on. Went back on replay and the 1st spot I stopped at all 3 little ones with heads poked out and no adult in sight. One appeared immediately and started feeding. Little one had its head in the wrong direction most of the time. A later feeding showed it in right position and it got a few bites. Food supply looked good even though Justice was really wolfing it down the last time I looked in yesterday.

 CAROL

Happy to see #3 got to eat.I'm at Ihop now.on our way to a manatie site seeing boat ride

Judith H

Looks like the nest is getting rained on.

Katy J

Yes, I have been watching all morning, the squirming tangle of fluff at feedings and the honking.
For anyone interested, a new hatch at DC nest. DC 4.

Katy J

*bonking

Mavis

The sky looks dark, too. Temp should be around 42ยบ. Forecast says drizzle/rain all day...night with possible thunderstorms...most of day tomorrow. Temps will stay above freezing. Kids will stay tucked in most of the time..might give POTUS a chance to rest and strengthen up a little.

Mavis

Looking at Lib on NV and I can't help but remember what Kit said...snuggling up to a cold fish. There is no place for Lib to put her head except on a fish! The nest bole is surrounded by fish..they are laid around like an adornment. One would think Justice is preparing for a party!

Cristine

What a happy feeling to wake up this morning knowing there are three babies in the nest! There WERE a lot of eagle-lovers watching the hatching last night..how wonderful...and there are 310 right now too! I imagine there are a lot of classroom so excited today, watching.
Yes, Mavis..another cloudy dreary day in the QC area. 6 in a row? Weatherman says we could get over 2 inches of rain in the next 24-36 hours... and a chance of flooding comes with that. Yikes. However all of the severe storms are supposed to stay to our South That is GREAT news.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

RL ML

Audubon has confirmed a hatch at Pittsburgh Hays. That was the tree blown down after the 1st egg was laid. They immediately built a new nest and 5 days later brooding was noted.Nest cam shows the new nest far off. I can only see where it is when I can see an eagle head.

Judith H

Looks like some of the rain is moving East of the nest, may have an opening for a feeding soon.

Chris

Looks like rain everyday through to next Tuesday. Friday should be dry.

Judith H

Chris, NWS is showing 60% for Friday too.

What a tiny shrimp, his neck needs to grow about a foot.

Wendy

Couldn't see who got what on that feeding. The wind made Lib unstable and she promptly stopped and tucked in the kids.

Wendy

Is that J eating while the kids sit watching?

Judith H

I think it was, POTUS was begging for food right in front too.

Chris

Up Date from Stewards Nest: Sunday evening (26th), another attack occurred by two adult eagles. There will be no additional searches for the missing eagle. The eaglets are put at a greater risk due to the additional disturbance, especially since the intruders are still in the area. The males have their job cut out for them.

Mavis

The sky as stayed dark at the nest all day. The wind must be pretty brisk as the nest is swaying on both TTV and NV. Lib looks comfortable and finally dry. She will have her hands (wings) full, keeping the kids in their crib all week. I bet she loves the temperature. I wonder where POTUS hides under there.

Wendy, it is hard to watch L and J try to maneuver around in the bole. There seems to be a kid under each foot! I thought one got stepped on earlier...I just ran to the NWZ!

Judith H

Wish they'd hurry and feed them, rain coming again. Has there been a switch since he fed himself? I saw her drop off some grasses then leave, I think he told her he fed them.

Judith H

Feeding time...Little one had some good bites, now Crabbie and Valentine moved into position.

Judith H

Both L and J fed them...Liberty sitting now and Justice took off.
