JC

Gosh Mr John she is almost home...thank you for the update..looking forward to Monday morning!

Chris

Star could be visiting the old nest. Would be great to see her again.

RL ML

Just saw a video "Not so Peaceful Morning" from Stewards nest. Both Valor's flew in one carrying a large fish. Another adult flew in and there was quite a tussle in the nest before the intruder left. One flew away and came back shortly and then left again. Lots of eagle chattering. Valor on the nest started feeding the kids. They are still walking over the unhatched egg.

Carol C

She is so close makes me want to go look for her. But not in this nasty rainy weather. If she gets close to the nest she will be chased off.
We get a little break from rain.

Carol C

RL I saw that video. Glad none got hurt.

Mavis

R L, You woul dthink as plentiful food is at the Steward nest, there would not be such a fight for food. Those two Valor eagles must be special and strong dads. I'm glad you gave your report and the Steward nest won this round. It's amazing the eaglets are still getting through this unscathed. When they fledge, they will do so with more knowledge of what awaits them than most eaglets will.

Mr. John, as soon as Sky does 'ping' in, will you comment and let us know, please. He is the one I have always secretively worried about. He seems to enjoy his adventures along the Mississippi. I hope he has many, many years to explore 'his' river.

One parent sitting on the nest wall...the 3 kids sleeping in a row.

NoKo just test launched a ballistic missile about an hour ago. The missile failed...but he is escalating the tension. I just wanted to update you on this news.

JC

Meals continue to be severed at the nest...seems the girls ate earlier now POYUS is getting his portion...they are so fun to just sit and watch..have a good night everyone...more rain tomorrow

Chris

The video that RL and Carol talked about seeing sure puts you on the edge of your seat one of those kids could have easily been pushed over the edge of the nest in the fight. You might want to turn your speakers on.

The eaglets are getting plenty of food, with some in reserve.
A calm quiet scene at the nest tonight.

JC

Katy it sure is...calm and quiet...have a good night enjoy the peace of it..

Mavis

JC, I hope your are watching! Val and Crabbie and laying one each side of the white 'sumptin' and Val was picking at it. Then Val got up and was loosening up the straw and taking it the the 'sumptin' to cover it up...maybe to hide from POTUS.

They are so fun to watch. Val is picking up a lot of Lib's way of doing things. She is a very fast learner. Val and Crabbie stay close and work well together.

Carol C

This nest is so lucky it doesn't have intruders like Stewards. They get some but nothing like that one. Makes me wonder why it happens so much there? Location maybe.
Thanks for posting that Chris. I still haven't figured out how to do that.
Calm & quiet if great!! Have a good night everyone.

JC

Mavis I was watching...now it looks like that 'sumptin' may soon turn into a pillow..

Mavis

Lib came down from the Attic and eyed the 'pillow' and moved it to the side. I thought for sure the kids were going to have to give it up, but Lib left it alone after that. They are huddled in front of her now...I'm sure POTUS has his head under her. Lib is resting with her head buried in her back feathers.

It is dark at the nest and time to say goodnight. Hope you all enjoy your evening.

Chris

Hi Meagin, It is good to see you posting.

Chris

Man saves owl wrapped in fishing line. JC you are going to enjoy this video because it is almost a miracle this rescue went as it did.

Chris, I was amazed at that video! Don't want to say too much, so others can experience it also. Thanks for sharing.

Carol C

Morning everyone. Going to be another rainy icky day. I work til noon is all today.

Mavis

Morning, Carol. I sure wish you could spot Star. Did you tell Gloria to be on the lookout for her? It would be fantastic if she spotted and got a picture of her.

It looks overcast at the nest. I don't see the white 'pillow' any longer. They could be piled up on it, but I doubt it. It was not very big...looked like a 'one-bite' snack for Lib.

No one on the nest right now except 3 piled up sleeping kids.

Good morning everyone...hope it is a beautiful day!

JC

Good morning Carol and Mavis..windy at the nest this morning..
Carol rain should start about the time you are finishing work...could be a good day for an afternoon nap...
Mavis..hate to tell ya but the "yellow pillow " was defeathered and served for breakfast earlier...I watched the whole
thing...now they are all sacked out with full bellies...
Wonder what wonders we will see today!

Rat

It's 46 right now with winds 14 mph increasing later this morning with rain moving in soon. When I let the dogs out at 5 it was misting. Supposed to warm up later this week, but until it does it's rain & temps in the 40's & 50's. I just feel so cold this morning...

JC

Say Mavis as I look at the NV right in front up against the railing I see what might be the bottom end of the "sumptin" they may have a little left...
Morning Rat..it is cold...I had a little accident last week when washing my windows...ended up with a broken bedroom window...because it was a thermal layer storm window it will take 2-3 weeks before it is fixed...the area is covered with plastic. I like a cool bedroom but with these cold nights must admit ..it is pushing the limit..
I'm not as tough as I used to be...looking forward to the warmer days next week..

Mavis

JC...so glad I missed the marshmellow feast (the fluffy yellow pillow or sumptin)! I was getting attached to that 'sumptin' myself! Hate that I won't recognize it when I see it again as PS! I'm surprised it was big enough to share with all three.

Rat, your area sure likes to hang on to the cooler weather. I wonder if this will cause the Mayflies to hatch out later than usual. They usually hatch around the first of July, don't they?

I wish we could hear from Paula. We haven't heard from Wry or CaJ in a long time. I miss them. Hi, Sheila, if you are looking in.

Joyce, I got a message from Gregory a few days ago. He said to tell you that he "loved ya" and that his grandmother turned 93 last month on St. Patrick's day.

Mavis

Not sure what that sumptin is that is being fed...but for the first time in a long time, it made me feel the YUK!!! That is awful looking stuff being wolfed down! Would like to see a nice fish arrive.
