I guess we are "empty nesters" now. Bummer for us,but great for our kidlets. Going to be hot here in the Sierras this coming weekend. Over 100 in the valley and up to 90 up here on the mountain. Our family was all together last weekend so Fathers Day came early. My hubby is doing well and feeling great. Looking forward to some riding on the Harley up to our Sonora Pass. Just opened. Snow banks along the summit are about 20 ft. Tioga Yosemite Pass had 40 ft. The water will be flowing now.

Enjoy this wonderful tribute to all Fathers, Past..Present...and Future.

JC

Sorry Mr John would you delet my first two links please..I was not in lower case mode...thank you...

Judith H

Thank goodness, I thought she might become Arconic's first nest keeper.

Katy

Got confused there for a bit. Tuned in and Apollo is on the overlook. Then read post and watched videos. Thank you all for that! Ah, Flying Free and a new world for the 3 of them.

Cheri Sjoberg

How cool!!

Chris

Great photos of the boys flying high!

Mavis

Joyce, happy to hear your husband if feeling good. Hope you have a fantastic ride. That is one steep decline coming down from Yosemite...we smoked the RV brakes...had me scared!! We did some cycle riding and felt like I was in another world. So many beautiful sights...everywhere you looked was God's beauty on full display.

Mr. John...thank you so much for panning...and confirming the fledge.

Katy...I can understand why you got confused. Did you see the old nest in the panning? So sad. The old homeplace sure held a lot of sweet memories.

I'm concerned about our Sky. If he finds a place that he likes...he might stay a while. He doesn't care if it has signal or not! His way of rebelling, maybe.

Katy

TTV looks the one is sitting ON the camera.
Grateful for the Two views.

Chris

Justice just flew in with a fish and Apollo was right on it. Justice will need to do a lot of fishing tonight all of his kids will be hungry after all the action today.

Katy

Mavis, Missed the panning and my replay is being fickle. I can see it all in my mind's eye from the Posts and descriptions.
The Old Nest is being reclaimed back into the earth, Yes too many wonderful memories to count.
Now we have made new ones with this nest and these 3 eaglets and many more to come.

Mavis

Katy, this is a picture of the old nest during the panning...just for you, girl!!

Carol C

Thanks Mr. John for the photos. Nice to know she did make that first flight!! Awesome for her!!
Yea the old nest is in shambles but the new kids still like sitting up there!

JC

The one at the old nest is looking it over...one eating in new nest and one on back branch of overlook...

Carol C

The one in the old nest looks huge!

JC

Say Mavis thank you for doing the new link...I messed up this time...
Storms heading my way so I'm signing off for the night..I'm off to Iowa tomorrow to help my aunt celebrate her 90th birthday...she has 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren...I'm taking 10 lbs of cheese curds...🤗

Mavis

It does look big, Carol. Maybe it's Apollo! Not easy to tell at that distance...not that easy to tell up close either!

Mavis

JC...you do so good with the links. It was your turn to have a glitch...we've all had them. No problem. Thanks for posting it.

Hope you enjoy your drive to your aunt's home. That should be a special celebration!! 90 years old...she has sure seen a lot. 10 lbs of cheese curds! They are the best!

Katy

Mavis, Thank You for MY picture of the old nest collapse. I thought it looked dilapidated before, now the condition looks destroyed.
Must tend to dogs, TTFN

Chris

I bet some bird will come and fix it up again. I am sure it will get used. The question is who had it last year... maybe an owl family or kestrel like Roma suggested.

Katy

Chris, You may be right, however, the next few storms may erase it. Especially if there's hail with strong winds, God forbid.
115° here now, have to go out with my dogs to do their duty so I can get them in quickly. Summer in AZ, used to it.

Chris

Carol I think you might be right about Apollo being on the nest. I have been watching and the eagle spent way to much time there to be one of the more expert fliers like the boys and the flight was not what I have been seeing them doing. The eagle flies slow and low so I think she is headed back to that branch lower in the nest we saw her on this afternoon.

Carol C

Looked like that is where she was going.
