Good morning Mr John, Carol and Mavis....I just came on and saw the new thread...always so nice to get the updates...

Mavis

Oh man! I love studying those charts! Sky has moved further south of the bar pit..or whatever that pool of water was..that's good! Star is at Whitewater Lake. That must be near the Whitewater college area. I have a niece who is a college professor there. That is so cool.

The kids: I almost want to guess at what chart belongs to who. The charts are probably in order..Mer/Gem/Apollo but in having fun in matching personalities with the charts..I would guess the order of charts are: Gemini/Apollo/Mercury! We could have fun guessing at this...but just for the fun of it. The real story...they are all active and doing good. So happy Sky and Star both checked in and are constantly checking out new territory.

I'm excited with this update!

Chris

Apollo, Gemini, Mercury. If you check in the top left hand corner the name appears.

JC

Mr John just so you know when we are on an iPad or tablet...the names do not come up....
I can get the name on my computer by moving the mouse to the top of the screens...otherwise I have only a guess..

Judith H

Not long before Mercury fills the screen with blue arrows.

Mavis

Spoiler alert!! Game over! Forget the fun!

Thanks, JC. I wondered why I couldn't see it. Well...at least I got one right!!

WOW...a pair of woodpeckers at the nest! How sweet. NV

Judith H

Looks like Red had babies this year, there's a young Red Bellied Woodpecker in the nest. Also a Nuthatch was near the donut, another bird, gray with yellow on the chest in the nest, forgot the name of it.

Judith H

Okay, not Red's kid, just spotted the black crest on the chest, that was a Flicker.

Mavis

There were two RBWs to start with, Judy!! One went behind the TP...then flew off to the right. Was good to see them.

Judith H

Kids just arrived...woodpeckers beat it just in time.

Mavis

I saw that!!

Just got my internet back up. We had a really heavy thunderstorm come through a little while ago. The nest looks wet, too.

Mavis

Duh!! There are TWO Whitewater Lakes...one in MN and one in WI. This one looks like the one in MN near Duluth. The only Whitewater Lake I knew of was the one in Whitewater, WI.

Mavis

Judy, you are so smart and good with your bird IDs. So those were Flickers? They look similiar...I never would have caught that.

Mavis

I think that was Mercury in the nest...flew off to the left a few minutes ago. Must have heard something because I saw it's beak moving like he was calling out before he flew out.

Wendy

Yesterday I saw a mourning dove. Today I saw Fearless, a small bluish bird, and a greenish bird with a yellow breast...either a flycatcher, a warbler or a vireo. I couldn't find it on replay to get a better look. They sure seem to know when the Eagles are moving on.

Mavis

The old nest was really busy this morning with a larger, brown bird, Wendy. Couldn't tell more than that about the birds at this distance. But you are right...they seem to know when it is safe to plunder the nest.

Mavis

Hey, Wendy...that time stamp on my Flicker pictures was 2:51 EDT...so that would be 1:51 your time...about an hour and 38 mins ago

JC

One sitting on the limb behind the donut...

Wendy

Mavis, I just googled the Flicker. I didn't see one there today.
