Chris it was hard to tell. I'm sure he's in there someplace. Too many leaves.

Mavis

Your report is so encouraging. I think as long as the parents are hanging around.. they know where he is and taking care of him. I will feel better to know he is ok without injury. I guess some ppl may think we are so silly, and it's just nature...but I and others really do get attached to Liberty, Justice, and the kids. Your updates...and the things you do sure help those of us who are worried. I thought today, with Justice on the "L" branch behind the donut...he was either looking for him or trying to entice him back to the nest. L and J are good parents...and you, Mr. John, are a good stewart of the wildlife under your protection....and THAT is a big deal! Heck..it's a YUGE deal!!

Wendy! You go girl! You did the link and it works!

Carol C

Thanks for panning Mr. John. Beautiful eagles!! Still can't see our missing one.:(

Judith H

Someone will have to turn that band a little more to the left so we can see the last #. I did see the first 4 that time.

Mavis

Even with my eyesight, I saw the 070!! That was a good panning. I was picking chicken for my pups and couldn't turn lose to say :thank you"....but I'm saying it now.

Did anyone see something on the ground about the size and shape of a hog? I saw something...maybe I got a picture of it. I'll look.

I was surprised to see the tiny white pin heads on the head feathers of the one on the TP. Got some good close up views.
I almost missed it...I was posting on this page...then just sat here when I decided to check the cam...and he was panning.

Carol C

Justice brought in a nice fish & neither ate it. One was eating some old thing there. Then J did feed the one that's on the TP The other came over & did a lot of yelling at dad. J finally left & one kid was looking down over the nest. Maybe J went to check on the lost kid.

Wendy

Darn. I missed the scanning so I tried to watch it on rewind, but the cams must have reset so it's gone. Funny thing though, the spinning circle was right in the center of the donut while I was rewinding.

The kids better start eating when the food is served up. They've been letting it sit and then L/J come in and dine.

Judith H

The nest must be the only place Justice eats!

Judith H

Kid just disappeared off the left edge of the nest...saw a tip of the wing flap a minute ago????

Katy

I just caught myself holing my breath as one was Wingercising on the edge. Thought he/she was taking the leap.
Every time I check in now, I think that dark spot under the donut is a third eaglet.
If Mr. John is sure our missing eaglet in just fine, why then I'll go with that. That's what I want to believe as well.

Judith H

He's baaaack...I didn't think there was much to land on over there.

Mavis

Gosh....don't do that to me, Judy!! I just sat down! They are both there right now. What happened?

Judith H

He was off the screen on the left edge.

Mavis

Katy...you don't know how many times I've thought the same thing!! That spot under the donut excited me so many times!
I was honestly looking for "Waldo" to fly back home today. Hope he stays put tonight...it's full moon. I bet the boys miss each other...they liked to stay together.

Chris

This was a clean operation no eaglets were hurt in the stunt!

Mavis, speaking of the moon, this morning at 5am the moon was in the western sky. So big, bright and beautiful. I had to pause and simply Enjoy it.

Mavis

Katy...this is the Houdini act:

Mavis

My goodness, Katy...I was outside about 6 am EDT and the moon was huge and orange on the my SW horizon. Just beautiful. I couldn't get over the big blue ring around it last night. I tried to get a picture of it but it did not pick up the blue ring. That was a sight!

Judith H

Mavis, The ring around the moon is called a halo, it's ice crystals.

Katy

Yah, that's what made me hold my breath! I thought the leap was taken until returned in view. (In reference to your video, Mavis by Judy) I watched it live, on the the edge of my perch!

Mavis

I'm glad I knew the outcome before I watched the video! I missed the LIVE action while I was in the kitchen.

I didn't know the ring was ice crystals. That probably explains the smaller outer pink ring on the outside edge of the blue one. The pink ring was so faint that I didn't mention it. You see...I learned something.

Going to call it a night...hope you all enjoy a good one. 2 kids on the TP...one parent on the rooftop...and I hope our wayward darling is safe and good for the night. Goodnight y'all.

Judith H

Mavis, I should have said the halo is caused by high cirrus clouds containing ice crystals....before I get corrected.

Mavis

I can only learn so much in one night, Judy. I wish you hadn't added that part...now I have to figure out how the cirrus clouds got that high...and formed a perfect circle!

P,S.
I'm joking about the clouds getting that high!! It was an fantastic sight that I have never seen before. Amazing.
