Adult Eagle in the nest ...with a fish.. looking around for a taker.

RLML

No picture when I 1st looked in, but after checking here the adult was on the nest with the fish, but it was just a still picture. Looked back and again no picture. Back to cam again and eagle there, but in a bit different position. Finally a real picture. Looks like parent is going to have to eat this one.

RLML

Picture pattern continues. Black screen, gray screen with Arconic logo, still picture. I did get it live again a couple of times. Parent is in a little different position each time the picture comes back.

Wendy

Mr. John, thanks for the maps.

I'm glad to see that Sky has moved from the quarry/waste pit. It looks like Gemini and Apollo may have taken a trip together over the Mississippi.

It looked like it was Lib in the nest with the fish instead of Justice. I'm not getting anything but the black screen on NV now.

Mavis, I saw your earlier post. I bet you were up all night, but I hope you were able to sleep a little and rest your eye a bit.

RLML

Back about an hour later. Picture sequence still the same, but both eagle and fish gone. It will remain a mystery as to what happened to the fish unless someone saw the parent leave.

Mavis

Such a nice surprise! Sky had enough of the dump!! I sure did not like him in that area at all. Hope he had a bad experience and will not go back. Star loves the North. She seems perfectly happy up there.

Wendy, isn't is funny that of all the paths that can be taken across the river...they seem to take the same path? Maybe they flew together. Jenny made it through the night. The vet is doing a more thorough workup on her this morning. I'm fine...just worried about her.

Good morning, RL. TTV is up and doing the same as NV. It kind of looks like a constant looping of a 3 sec video. Mediacom often has problems after a storm...maybe they will get it worked out.

Judy said to tell everyone good morning. She has been stuck in court for a couple of hours and is not a happy camper. Patience is not one of her virtues...

JC, I didn't see the fish...must have been eaten.

Mavis

Oophs! Thanks, Mr. John for the update. I was hoping you would have one today.

Chris

Finally got my internet and cable back on. Power was off for several hours last night. We got 2 1/2" of rain. Glad the nest area did not get the high wind or hail that we got.

Wendy

Mavis, I'm glad to hear Jenny is a fighter and made it through the night. I hope the vet in taking a deeper look finds something that can be treated with medicine.

I hope Judy is home from court and didn't tick off some officer or you may have to go bail her out. (This was only a joke. I have no idea what court was for.)

Wendy

I almost forgot to report that the nest is empty and that I found no activity on replay.

RLML

Came back to check and cams back to normal, but no activity. Tried to check Decorah cams, but not sure what it going on there. Parent flew on to a limb and was eating. 2 youngsters showed up but parent was not sharing and eventually flew away. Then the cam went to night and they were showing the storm from Wednesday night. They must be showing videos and not a live feed. The Decorah North cam has a very blurry still picture of what I think is a flicker on a branch. Just looked back and the Decorah cam has the same video of the parent not sharing on now. DEcorah North now has a nest view so probably live. Looks like a corn plant growing in the nest. No eagles in sight.

JC

RL I've not seen anything live from Decorah since the storm on Wednesday...that's when it appeared their cam went down..I too felt they are just running a video over and over...
Sometimes I look in at Decorah when I get bad weather alerts here...just to see if it is at Decorah yet...Actually a better view than satellite for me...
I've not seen anyone at Arconic since this morning...

Chris

I was watching the TTV and saw two of the eaglets flying over the river.

JC

Lori

Hello to all. Im hoping the storms tonite will miss all of us. It's just way too hot and humid to do anything.
Mavis, so sorry to hear about Jenny. I know you are doing everything possible for her. Hugs to you.

Carol C

More bad weather coming. It's in Iowa City now.
Chris nice seeing them flying over the river. Nice to see Liberty! Been a long time since I've seen her.
Thanks Mr John they have been busy. Just not where we can see them.

Katy

FAR OUT! Just noticed we can see much more of the overlook now. All of the oblong nest too. Thanks Mr. John! Great updates on all 5 kids, appreciate all you do for us. 🍻 Cheers.

Chris

Chris

Lori, Your probably in the storm right now. It looks like a bad one stay safe.

Lori

Raining hard, and hailing, but the winds have calmed down already. I'm safe. Everybody else stay safe

Chris

Thanks for checking in Lori. They say it is in Buffalo now and will be here in about 15 minutes.

Chris
